Waiting list for NEW Rolex Daytona C 116500

Hello,
how long is waiting list for new Daytona C?
Maybe I'm lucky, my name for the white Daytona is 1st on the list at my AD.
Approximate delivery mid-May to end of June.
How about you and your Rolex AD?

My AD did not say what number I am or when I should expect it unfortunately.

Even if you are #1 the AD might not be able to get one that quickly! If it is June though, that would be awesome!

Sure.
In my small country only one Rolex AD, maybe that is advantage for me.

With the exception of the SD4000 Basel release models haven't been available traditionally until September in the US. A little earlier in the EU, but unless someone heard something different that's most likely when they will start to ship.

What about the BLNR its basically the same as what they have done to the Daytona, new Bezel and insert and a different dial colour and that was in the ADs around June after Basel release, its not like the 116500 is a completely new watch .

Valid point and a quick question going from a SS to ceramic bezel would the way the bezel, crystal and case mated together be different so the 116500 will have a different case then the 116520?

Would not think it would be necessary for a new case, although there would be drilling's for the 3 spring-loaded ball-bearing and spring-loaded click stop. But expect the Rolex robots could easily handle that, and even if case was different in any way.

When the GMTIIc was introduced at Basel, I had one in August. Same AD tells me that my Daytona 500 will be here in May, for what its worth...

Seems like everyone is #1 on their AD's list around here.
AD marketing & back up plan? My thoughts if you are offered one before 2017
consider yourself lucky if you want one quickly.

My thoughts exactly, it seems as if everyone is #1 on there AD's list and even some people have said they are #1 on five or six Ad's list. Rolex is either going to flood the market with the Daytona C, or there are going to be a lot of disappointed #1's

Right! "Yes sir, you're first on the Daytona list after the 16 people ahead of you get theirs. But you are first!"

I was told November by the Rolex store in Houston, and much later than that before one has any chance of making in the display case.

AD to every customer: "You are No. 1 to me!!" Isn't this what sales is all about?

My AD says I am first on the list in the entire world, so I am felling pretty fortunate.

Lots of "#1"s to go around. There's no downside to customers getting on a thousand lists, and there's similarly no issue with the AD replying "sure thing, you're #1".

Swiss dealers thought around June/July when I asked them last week when I was there. No chance of them offering one to a tourist like me though, I imagine they have plenty of customers spending big bucks to keep sweet

Waiting list for NEW Rolex Daytona C 116500

You know how these lists work! You're number 1 until a bigger whale shows up and wants the same watch, then you get bumped off to number 2.

I am first on the list at my AD. I put down half which they said would guarantee I get the first watch they receive. Now I wait...

I for one am hoping it is a a slow go and they do not flood the market. I really don't care if it takes a while as I want this watch to be very hard to come by. Makes it all the better conversation piece.

I look forward to this one being a keeper. There is nothing about the white dial that I do not like. Can't wait to see it in person.

Regards,
Scott

Thread like this is going to push the premium and resale prices of the Ceramic Daytona through the roof. I suggest that we stop discussing about how difficult to get it and how much we want it. :)

I was in Venice for a weekend. I went to Rolex AD and ask them to put my name on waiting list for new Daytona 116500.
Answer was: "We don't accept reservations. We have so much ours clients and waiting list is full. Sorry, try in other Rolex shop."
