Sub C - Accuracy
Hi,
Rolex website shows the Sub C (with date) with a -2/+2 accuracy. This I believe is the same watch with same movement a previously advertised with -4/+6 accuracy. I'm looking to get one in the near future and want to understand if this indeed the same watch? I want to ensure that I purchase the 'newer' one of course. Thanks in advanced for your insight! |

Yes, exactly the same watch. In 2015, they started to regulate their finished watches(!) according to their own -2+2sec standard (on top of the -4+6 COSC certification for the caliber) and give 5 years of warranty. These watches can be identified by the new green hang tag instead of the old red one.
The hardware of the watches did not change at all, though. You get the same watch basically. That applies to all established models, not only Sub. My pre-2015 Sub and Ex are within the new standard, too, despite having "only" the red tag. So no need to despise the "older" ones. Dennis |

As a reference my Sub-C gains approximately .7 seconds per day. Point seven seconds! I've had mind for almost three years.
