new member intro and submariner question
Hi, I'm new to the forum.
My question,...when did Rolex start etching their name repeatedly around the inside of the bezel? i just bought a new sub and was curious as to when they added this feature. thanks. |

Larry is right, it started at some point with the "Z" series serial number, if I am not mistaken.
Welcome anyway So does the serial number of your Submariner start with a "Z" or a "M"? Either way you can say you have a brand new watch

Adam:
The only difference is about less than a year of production. If it's a brand new watch it does not matter at all. The "M" is just the latest, greatest is all. Nice watch. Terry Newton

Same
there is no difference between the two. Imaging you have two watches one is z999999 and the other M000001. Made on the same assembly line one after another within hours of each other...
