So ROC or ROO
So as when I was pretty sure I'm getting my greytheme roo I went to the AD and happen to see this ROC it was stunning. It is different to the roo definitely but price wise I'm offered a similar price (almost the same) I like the Roo a bit more but the bracelet on the roc got me thinking about getting a bit more bang for the buck and wondering if the roc would hold it value better?

So ROC or ROO
I was in a similar position. I wanted and bought a roo. Specifically the diver. But seeing the roc in person made me want ringer one of those. The dial and the flatter edges on the bracelet got me. So when an I house chrono get phased in and I have a few other pieces in mo collection I plan to trade the diver for a roc chrono vs the roo diver. What else do you have in your collection?

I think the ROO is much more sporty, love mine. Especially on a rubber strap. The elephant looks great on the black rubber or grey diver strap... I like the ROC in black as well, for me its more formal. The roc also looks great on the rubber strap which sports it up a bit as well.
For me it would be the ROO then i'd prob add the ROC. I recently tried on the same watch at the boutique while trying the 44 ROO... Either way good choice. |

It's a hard decision. Love the ROC but lack of a true in house movement is tough to swallow at this price point. Pre owned the ROC sells for low teens. I have seen them for $13-15k. I love the bracelet on the ROC. am debating one for myself.

It's a tough one, I have owned both. I would go with a ROO now as I prefer PP for slimmer dressier watches, but the AP bracelet is hard to resist.

They are both GREAT watches and I've worn them both as my daily wearer over time.
I'm a BIG fan of the ROC - it's very classy, can be dressy or sporty and the bracelet is amazing. The ROO - is much more sporty - but can be dressed up as well (in my opinion) as I worn mine often with a suit. It just depends on what overall look you're going for. They are different references but overall very similar price-points. In terms of holding value -- they are very similar -- but I wouldn't use this metric as one to make the decision more than the one you REALLY like to look at. Just my .02 --- Good luck!!! With that collection, I'd get the chrono. I do love the bracelet and I love a chronograph!

For months I was always dead set on the ROO diver.
I tried it on at an AD/boutique multiple times for almost a year. The final time, I was in the NY boutique, and tried on the ROC.... it was set. The ROC just sat perfect on the wrist, and was a nice middle ground in thickness/size between the 15400 and the Diver. I would argue the ROC is a more versatile wear. You can put a rubber strap on the ROC and turn it sporty as well. |

The grey ROO wins hands down here. IMHO, it's one of the best sports APs, and yet it keeps a unique versatility and wearability compared to other 'purely sports' models. Leather, rubber, bracelet... It rocks in all options.

Difficult choice as they are both great watches. If the bracelet is what's swaying you, keep in mind that you can put a bracelet on the ROO as well.

I went with the ROO and the basis was primarily a stupid reason. In retrospect-- I kind of wish I would have gone with a ROC. Honestly they are both great choices. If i would have gone with ROC -- maybe i would have said-- darn should have gone with the ROO. LOL I considered getting an ROC now but I am saving for another AP ---- :) --- well have a deposit and waiting for delivery, one I have been admiring for some time.
I think you cannot go wrong with either choice--- I have a small wrist and the thickness of the ROO gave me concern but it is nicely balanced and I have no issue with the size. |

For me it's a question of application. I wear lots of shirts and smart casual attire. For this the roc suits perfectly

Depends if you want it more dressy ( ROC ) or more sporty ( ROO ). I am kind of a movement snob so the ROC lack of an in-house movement is a negative for me so I will go for the ROO especially with the open caseback and ceramic pushers. That said, even the current ROO isn't completely inhouse as the chrono movement I think it's an add on.
