What Color Should I Paint 6480 Dial?

This is a harmless little 6480. It runs beautifully and keeps excellent time. The hands are wrong, and the dial is really unattractive. I won't be polishing the case, I will be replacing the hands, but I wanted to get your input on what to do with the dial. I'm not big on dial re-finishing, but I feel this one deserves it, since the original dial is not doing anything to enhance value or perceived value. I put some of the options I am considering in the poll, but if you have another idea, feel free to write-in the candidate of your choice.

I would most definitely leave it as it is. It looks great like that.

I would replace the hands, leave the dial alone.
It is a perfect candidate for Mickey Mouse though!

How about some nail varnish and create a kind of 'Stella' in enamel!?
Emerald green, or a funky salmon pink.

Movement looks like a 1215, it's manual but keeps excellent time and looks pristine. The crown-tube and crown are holding up fine. The dial looks like it was "cleaned" with an emory board or 400-grit wet/dry. I thought it deserved a little better, but it looks like the consensus so far is to leave it ugly.

I vote matte black (and see if they can shine up the minute markers/hands)

Leopard skin would be nice. Or you could leave it like it is, keep its age and integrity, retain its soul, and keep its coolness!

I can appreciate some signs of age, but that's way past anything I'd wear, that dial probably looks better finished on the reverse side it's so bad. So keep it as a curiosity for the collection or, if you'd like to use it in public, replace dial and hands (you can sell the originals to the gentlemen recommending you leave the watch as-is, they're sure to pay top prices for such examples).

And BTW I like that 1018 you sold me so much I just bought another, an earlier and more "honest" example (if you know what I mean) I'm having looked at for restoration. Pics when it's done, cheers...
