Got My New GV!!!!

Here it is, the rarest of rare. My AD held it for me until I returned back to the USA and I just got it out of the box.
Let me be frank......it is the rarity of this watch that makes it so desireable. Granted, the crystal is unique, but all the hype is just not deserved.

Put the new GMT II-C next to it and most would choose the new G for style and new technology.

For now, I will give it some time for it to grow on me.

Congrats

The rarity of this watch aint gonna be it's unique selling point soon.

Rumours abound that Rolex have sussed the green sapphy issue and a whole lot more are gonna hit the market.

I'd be bummed if I laid down a huge premium on one of these if the rumours are true!

Here's a side by side.
I totally agree with you about the rarity.
My AD thinks they will be more plentiful very soon and will lead to a softening of the extreme price.
I just put my black dial Millie next to the GV and there is not much of a difference, certainly not one to pay thousands for.

Also, I paid MSRP for this.

Agree 100%, not rare by any means. There will plenty available soon at MSRP and less given time. Congrats and enjoy it at least you paid MSRP and no premium.

Congrats!!1 I agree that the GMTc is a better looking watch overall. But that green crystal is really something different, and the rarity of it is what makes it more desireable.
