Dayto-C subdial question

is the new dayto-C subdial same with the latest version of ss dayto?

as we know that latest version ss dayto is more shinny than the previous version ss dayto, or some people name it pointed number 4 sub dial which is shinny, and flat number 4 sub dial which is less shinny and a bit yellowish.

anyone can explain this?thankyou!

Can't find the link, but there was a YouTube review posted on forum a few days ago they compared the 116500 vs 116520 and noted these changes

1) Main Rolex text on dial now more compact
2) Daytona in red is a slightly different shade
3) Sub dial rings on the black are not as polished, shade is more inline with the plat bezel markings (white dial obviously has black rings)

The new subdial for the black Daytona-C is less shiny than the previous version. Check out this video by DavidSW.

I'm afraid I have to agree.

That's a new one for me too. I haven't seen that before.

Dayto-C subdial question

Oh, no, you inadvertendly made me realize that the 4s on the new bezel are not flat top and thus inconsistent with the now even flatter top 4 on the subdial. So much for perfection.

Oh and: just not Dayto please, just... Not.

Hmm. A comment made in a prior thread said the crown guards on the new Daytona were different / thinner. They look the same to me.

I find the polished (vs. matte on the new Ceramic) ring around the subdials nice to "look at" but hard to read on the classic SS version. But I didn't get it to time stuff. I just like the way it looks on me.

Yeah, I am pretty sure they are thicker but they do look very similar, lugs as well. Pics, altho luckily very similar, may still be distorting.
