Something about the E serials subs
In no less than 4 examples i have come across of subs/nd subs with yellow patinaed indices and pearls with white tritium hands. All purportedly original but at the same time unevenly aged. All E serials.
Im in dilenma if i should go for one with a mint case but off balanced shades of dial and hands. Just an observation. |

I have a N serial Sub that is similar. The dial markers have aged more yellow than the hands.

I have an "R" Serial 16610 where the hands and the dial are aging with the same patina.

Hands and dials are pulled from available stock when the watch is built. It is very unlikely that they were filled with the same batch/lot of tritium each time they made a production run..
