What do these numbers engraved underneath my lugs mean?

Hadn't noticed these until today, but under the lugs on my 1501 date there is some very faint engraving. In one corner you can see "VD", and in the opposite corner diagonally is the number "7584." Did a lot of searching, couldn't come up with anything but I know somebody here will know. All I gathered is that "VD" might be a clasp code? I honestly have no idea...

The watch in question.

It looks hand engraved/scratched in so most likely a repair shop or reseller did it. Those arent factory marks

Some watchmakers or polishers will do that to keep parts with their correct counterparts
