CapeCod - any chance to buy in EU (Amsterdam)
My dear friends,
I've recently 1) relocated to Amsterdam and 2) bought myself Rolex Ceramic Sub for my birthday, although a bit used (~ half a year) Wanted to give it a slight polish, but struggling with finding capecod cloth here... Amazon would be a bit difficult, although possible as the least preferred option, because I'm staying in different hotels. Probably any locals here who can help me to find these? Moderators, please excuse me if I missed the branch - I'm new to this forum. |

Many will - correctly - advise you not to use cape cod on your watch. It will take metal off and if you do not know what you do you you could cause more damage than the hairline scratches or character dings/marks on it. If you insist ebay or an online store could deliver at your door.

Thank you for the welcome message!
I'm somewhat aware of downsides of capecod using - I just want to use it to slightly polish sides of my submariner for the first time (which are rather scratched for a several month old watch). Do not intend to use it regularly - after that, will wear it with pride since the new scratches would be "mine" :) Any locals here? |

Display4you has capecod cloth.
Package can be delivered at a supermarket (AH) where you can pick it up. |

Thanks a lot. These both don't seem to have English language, so all hail google translate.
Any physical shops? Not to deal with all this online stuff for 5Euro napkins :) :) |

Very good... But both these sites are in Dutch only, so god bless the google translate.
Any chance of physical locations? Just not to deal with all this register-login-purchase-wait-for-delivery stuff for a $5 napkin :) |

Again - no English language, need to register, wait several days, handle the problem with delivery just to spend 5 euro... No chance to find these in a regular shop? Probably some "anything for your house" store?

So, it happens that they've never heard of these in Ams Watch company.
Am I the only one who desires CapeCod in Amsterdam? :) If someone happens to own and extra pack, I can purchase it from you :) |

Hey everyone, thanks for comments.
I wanted to use it for the sides of the watch: while the watch overall is in a very good condition, sides are too scratched. That's why scotchbright wouldn't do... Looks like the case isn't very easy - I thought that Capecod is relatively easy to find. Alternate way would be buying in Moscow, but then I'll have to wait for several weeks till I return there... |

I would not use a cape cod on your sub C. Thats a brushed bracelet and case. Cape Cod should only be used on polished stainless. Personally i would not use a cape cod on any of my watches.

Their website isn't showing in dealers in Amsterdam.
http://www.capecodpolish.com/pages/dealer-locator Have you given any thought to a scotchbright pad for your brushed SS? |

Hey! Very generous of you, but if you are in US, I suppose, delivery would not be very fast :) Also I don't want to bother someone with my requests.

Resume: bought on Amazon. Waited 10 days. Polished watch sides - 30 mins and impressive result, looks almost like new one. Thanks everyone!
