Tudor Black Bay Black - Should I buy one?

I was hoping to hear your thoughts on this. I already have a Rolex submariner ND 14060 M in my collection which I love. I kind of like what Tudor did with the new introduction of their Black Bay Black. It's similar to it's Rolex cousin but still unique in its own right. So I am wondering if you think there is room enough in a collection for both. I also like the Omega moon watch so that might be another way to go. Hmmm....

I would lean towards the Moonwatch. More polished links, chronograph, lots of history behind it. It would go well with your Submariner.

Both excellent; get the one you like the most.

I's go with Tudor BBN (Rose dial) as it had a short run.
Speedy is a Classic though, so try them both.

I would suggest the Moonwatch, as you have not already got a chronograph?

My opinion is that if you're not a diver and you own a Rolex diver, you don't need another one.

That's just my opinion.

My 14060M is the only diver I need or want.

Tudor Black Bay Black - Should I buy one?

Without question, I would choose the Moonwatch. It is an icon with an unmatched history...and a damned good chronograph at a reasonable price. The Tudor is a fine watch, but the Omega is a horological legend...and handsome...and rugged...and fun to own. It would compliment your Submariner. You'd have the quintessential dive watch and the quintessential chronograph.

Absolutely right. I agree 100%. The Tudor is a great watch, but for all the reasons stated here I would go with the Speedy. Speedy and Sub is a great duo.

Thanks everyone for your opinion. Getting the Moonwatch first makes sense. I saw it in person not too long ago and it looked even better than in the photos. Plus I do like the history behind the watch and it'd be nice to add a chrono to my small collection. I can always get the BBB later. ;)

I sure will.

Any suggestions on whether to go for a vintage or more recent Moonwatch?

Don't have a sub, but have 2 BB, one BB incoming and my resistance to the remaining ETA BB is futile. I also have a FOIS speedy and wear it a lot.

In this case I say a speedy.

All 3 can coexist... Eventually I think you will want both the Speedy and the BB,since you already own a diver, I'd go Speedmaster first.

This for sure.
Just picked myself up a Tudor BBB today, the one without the in house movement.
It's a lovely watch and so is the speedy!
You will have all three, believe me.
