216570 Exp II - In a bind

Need some help here. I've decided on the 216570 as my next purchase but i can not for the life of me decide which color. Every time i think i've made my decision i get a creeping feeling i'm making the wrong choice. Help!

Black Dial for sure. You can always buy a white dial and have it swapped out at any point later on

You can't go wrong. I'm of the thought that an Explorer II looks better with a white dial. If you want something black, go Explorer I, Sub, or SD.

The white dial and orange hand connect well.

I want something black but went form SUBc to EXII(5dgt) because of
wearing comfort, mostly for weight issue for my wrist.

I defiantly had to have the white one first and ordered a second white one for back-up.....then caved and bought the black.
Love both!

I am in the same predicament and have yet to pull the trigger. I have viewed both at ADs several times and still cannot make up my mind. Photos online play tricks on you as well - in person how they wear / look against your skin is nowhere near what you make up in your mind.

I like the WHITE more for weekends / laid back / going out / flashier. More 'modern' looking to me. White dial is also seen more 'rare' in the rolex lineup.

The BLACK dial to me is more everyday, office, classic, more low key, a bit more blending in. But the orange hand def gives it some pop against the black dial.

Sure you can wear either one daily - but has more to do with your personality and how you plan to wear it as well.

I tried BOTH on and still weighing pros and cons of both.

I had an awful time deciding when I bought mine about 4 years ago. I went with the white dial and am absolutely sure that I made the right choice for me. After 4 years I love it as much now as I did then

Black was an easy choice for me. It's subjective.

I've had both...and loved them both.

If it weren't for the so-called 'phantom hands' of the black...I think it would be the perfect watch. But alas, there they are. So if I were to go the EXP2 route again, it would most likely be the white.

I prefer the Polar, clean sporty and ultra legible. Blue lume on the white is a bonus.

Black, unless you already have other black-dialled watches.
In fact I prefer the black regardless of the above!

It's funny but with the old 16570, I vastly prefer the white dial. But on the 42mm 216570, I favor the black. More true to the 1655 "Steve Mcqueen" Explorer from which it borrows styling cues, I guess.

I always liked black better. I think for a second I thought about white, only because I don't own any white dialed watches and white dials are pretty rare in the Rolex lineup, but then I just went with what I thought looked better (black 16570) and haven't regretted it.

Polar is the way to go. It's the best looking white faced dial around and so distinctive. Black dial watches are so common (sub, gmt).

Polar. Also don't like the phantom had on the black dial, and already got lots of black dial watches.

White works best with causal gear. Also match mine in the office with a white/pearl cufflinks and a crisp shirt and black suit. Oh yes!!!
