removing buckle from AP novelty

Hey everyone,

So I recently bought a white rubber strap for my AP 44mm novelty.
I also bought a AP bands changing tool, and I was able to easily remove and reattach the straps.

Where I ran into problems was with removing the buckle.
Anyone has any advice on this?

I followed these instructions:

But was not able to remove the buckle no matter how hard I pushed it

Do you have the tang removal tool? The "v" part goes between the rubber and the tang. Push the tool in and push it down with one hand, with the other that's holding the tang/strap, push it slightly to separate the pin from the tang.
