[Used] Warranty book missing pages

I've been looking to pickup a 15400 and found a nice example with box and papers.

However, the book has two pages torn out at the front - I believe the warranty papers? Does this suggest the watch has been sent to service and may have had potential issues?

Ask for an explanation. If it sounds fishy pass. Plenty around.

Maybe papers are not original to that particular watch, and papers torn out to get rid of serial number? Pass...

Most likely those pages are torn out for mailing to AP for warranty registration. This is the traditional or alternative method to internet registration.

AP specifically states on their site that signed/dated Warranty card must be presented in order to receive warranty service. Absent this, essentially no warranty.
