I'm not sure anybody here has bought a full set of Day Dates in multiple sittings let alone a single one.

It would be hard to find all the variants in one place.

I'd be interested to see which dials someone would choose if they were to go for all of them.

I would think a full set is all dials/bezels for each model.

All dials and bezels would be something to see in one collection but too impractical IMHO

I like PM as much as anyone but too much repetition for me, even if they were priced at SS levels I'd probably only have 2 of the same model, I'm trying to consolidate down to 4/5 watches.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who bought one of each upon the release. For many, that's peanuts and they want to match their outfit etc.

Oh I have no doubt people on this forum can afford 4+ Day Dates, it's just wanting to have so many of the same model, that's another thing.

If I had the money... I think I would prefer to have the seven Milgauss.

But a collection of all the permutations of a Day Date would be very cool.

The salesman at the Rolex boutique on 5th Ave said that Robert Downey Jr's assistant calls in and orders around 14 Rolex at a time (as gifts for Mr Downey's crew after filming a movie).

So I'm sure there are people out there with that kind of spending power who love the DD enough to ante up and buy them all.

Why do you ask? Are you thinking of doing this? I'd love to see that incoming wrist shot!

I wouldn't. But I'm more of a sports model guy, so if you were talking a full set of subs or GMT's...maybe. If I had the money.

You'd need truckloads of disposable cash to plunk that much down on a collection of DDs...

If we're talking the current lineup I'm sure there are some who have done just that. If both past and present with all the special saudi variants and dials... Now THAT would be a Day Date collection!

Would anyone buy a full set of day dates?

I suppose a day-date obsessed collector might. Maybe a Prince or a King.

It would certainly simplify the regular routine at the end of each month with less than 31 days.
