Mine gets the most wrist time and is one of my favorite Rolexes for a daily wearer. No pcls, 42mm, gmt, date, legibility, aesthetics, etc is why I love this watch so much.

My first, and it gets a lot of wrist time, here it is checking the pipe that brings drinking water to our property on a remote end of Maui HI.

I recently chose the Pelagos (in house black) as a work watch over the polar II 42mm. This ref has a place in my drawer though and will be their soon! What a beautiful watch!

I had mine for about a year but flipped it for a GMT. It was a great watch but I felt it was too big for my wrist. Regardless, I highly recommend it so give it a try for yourself.

I have had mine for a few years. It is a great looking watch. The bright white face exudes happiness. It is comfortable on the wrist. Highest recommendation!

I am trying to decide between exp II or gmt IIc. What made you guys choose one over the other? I can't make up my mind! I have a sub LVc and DJII in the collection now. Want something with a gmt but can't decide and price point pre owned is the same

Since I travel often I wanted the GMT feature. I initially chose the EXP because I did not like the GMT's polished center links. Since I now have a GMT I simply had the center links brushed. For me 40mm is my upper limit so the GMT suits me better than the 42mm EXP.

I actually own both, but the Exp II (black dial) was my first rolex and is still my favorite in their current lineup (though I find the Batman a bit more comfortable on my small-ish wrists). What I like most about it, besides the GMT functionality, is the understated look of the fully brushed bracelet and steel bezel. It also doesn't hurt your wallet as much as the GMT IIc.

You just can't choose ! Now that you have a Sub LV, you could go the Explorer II way.

I flipped my EXP II (polar) for GMTc LN. The GMTc is the only watch I wear daily. I felt like the GMTc was a better fit @ 40mm and was a little more versatile to dress up or down. Both are great choices. |

I debated the two myself and chose the E2 because it sat flatter and was more streamlined. The new subs and GMTs seem too boxy for me.

I thought I'd miss the ability to rotate the bezel insert when going to the EXP II from the GMT. I don't. I didn't use that as much as I thought I would. For me, with large wrists, the 42mm doesn't wear that much larger than the 40mm GMT.
And the blue lume is amazing!

It is a great watch, worn by real working people. And people who like burgers too. Also loved by little monkeys. (I think you know which closed thread I am referring to)

Thanks for the insight. I'll have to give it more thought but I love the pop of that pure white dial

I'm still fiddling with the fit. Messed with the mocroadjustment then finally broke down and removed a link. Still continue to futz with the micro. I'd gladly swap the bracelet out if it weren't for the odd sized lug. And yeah it wears a little heavy and big for my wrist. Ayayay.

This thread lured me with a promise of unadulterated, gratuitous watch pics. It did not disappoint.
And now, this watch is growing on me. Gdamn you, TRF-ers! |
