Anyone else counting the seconds until Rolex releases the SS Datejust 41?
Nothing against TT owners, they are beautiful watches, and I have tried on the DJ 41 at my AD and it is an incredible timepiece But, I have come to realize I just want to stay with a SS watch; not sure I can explain it (or really have to) but it is what I feel the most comfortable wearing and .. Just.. Want. I have my model already picked out, white dial, fluted bezel, oyster bracelet.
So WHEN can I get one!?!?!?!? Maybe next spring after Basel.... But I don't know if I can wait that long!!!!!! I have decided I'll go on a hunger strike until it gets released. ROLEX!!!!! ARE YOU LISTENING!?!?!?!?!? |

I almost bought a datejust 2 fluted this year !! But I decided to hold off and one of the reasons is I think I might prefer the dj41 as. It's on my radar for sure !!. Always wanted a jubilee in my collection but unsure how I will like the non-hidden clasp. Perhaps oyster it will be.

I'd buy one in a heart beat. The pessimist in me says Rolex is going to make us wait a few years to fuel the sales of the TT dj41 :(

SS DJ41 with a white Roman dial.
That's the jubilee watch I want. Basically this.

I think if you want to know how DJ41 look like and the dial variations, just look at the current 36mm

I was really disappointed that they only released the DJ41 in TT. I expect I'll have to wait a year at best to get one. I tried the DJII but it just was not right for me.
I'd be plesantly shocked to see them just show up in production later this year. Maybe they started with the TT so they could ramp up production of the 3235 movement to meet the DJ41 demand. |

Very interested to see the new dials, I think there will be some style/colour premiers.

I looked hard for differences between the DJII and the 41. Couldn't find much at all, other than the jubilee, which I'm not a fan of.

Is the Basel show the only time Rolex has introduced a new line/watch?

I haven't been into Rolex or watches in general for a long time, but from what I know, Baselworld is the only time Swiss watch makers release new versions/models/etc. I believe it takes place somewhere in the middle-end of March each year. Some years are amazing for WIS, and some years are just meh. We're all waiting for that day when they release our ideal watch variation, so it's a big deal haha

I'm with ya, Paul. That's what I'll be waiting to see next March, as Rolex has given me all of my other wishes already (ceramic Daytona and Sea Dweller).
