Need a new Daytona?

Considering getting a new Daytona.. Yes it is quite obvious but I want to keep the collection small so want to see if it will go well with my collection and appreciate some advice!

I have 3 dark dial sports watches and two white dial watches one sports and one dress. Really would like to add another white dial sports watch so considering a white 116500 Daytona.

Yes? No? Other suggestions?

Thanks!

Likely will sell or trade the Reverso for a ALS/Patek dress watch soon.

I believe you asking this on here no matter what your collection the answer will be a resounding yes. That out the way, yes I think a white 116500 would be a great addition to your collection. Will give your chorograph some variety (The Speedy could use some company).

I'd go for the TT or WG Panda for a Daytona, you've got plenty of SS already.

Personally, (Cant believe I am saying this) I would keep the collection the same and not add until the 500C supply has caught up to the demand. That is a beautiful collection!!!

I think a white dial Daytona would fit in well with the theme of your collection.

No need

You have a great balanced collection with icons throughout. Unless you "really" need a Daytona I would pass. But if you really want one, why not go vintage as a better match for the classics you already own?

I would get rid of the 5711

Agree the 116500 in white would be a nice addition

Well the idea is that I want a 2016 watch as a birth year watch for our new addition. So it has to be 2016 and thought the Daytona is probably the best option

How about the Basel 2016 WG Blue Dial version? It's sharp looking!

You have a fantasic collection. I'm not convinced you need a Daytona. You already have a chrono and all SS models. I'd think the next step would be a PM watch (which could be a PM Daytona)

Where did you get the strap for you speedmaster? I've been looking for one just like that for a while now. It's awesome.

It's the Omega Rallye strap and brushed deployant. Can buy it from most omega boutiques. Got mine from the NYC boutique

Beautiful collection but Yes, the Daytona is conspicuously absent. Go for it! White dial 116500 or 116520.

First off, great collection.

If you aren't already on a list at an AD, it may be hard to get a 116500 in 2016. That would leave you the option of buying second hand above MSRP, which I don't think is advisable.

As others have said, there's always the PM route, especially since you already have a great chrono in SS.

Or there's always a GMT.

Amazing collection - great taste. Strangely I feel the new white Daytona would look too modern next to these pieces.. Check out the black on black? No price limit I would add the platona to this collection

Daytona fits in any collection. If you can get hold of a DaytonaC (especially white), go for it. If not, I would vote for the 116520 black or any of the WG models.

Great collection! How about something German? Maybe one of the many GO Chrono's.
