First ever Rolex ... Take 2

So this morning I jumped on the train to collect my very own GMT Master 2 Coke

Wanted to share my first day with you and of course some pictures, I also need to say that I'm stunned by how comfortable the watch is and I've already had a couple of nice comments from people at lunch.

It was a tough decision to sell the Sub C Non Date, I know it's an amazing watch, but it just didn't feel right.

Over the moon with the deal I got on the piece, still think they may have priced it wrong, going by all the others I've seen for sale.

I'll add a couple of pictures I took today .. Appoigies I'm not great at taking pictures.

I'll post some more when I get home , I also visited the AD in Glasgow that worked me out a deal on a date just to thank him for all his help and to let him know he was a class act. And he was lovely enough to offer me a really nice Rolex book

Congrats!

Fantastic choice...they're just not making them anymore, so the logic of getting one now is sound. And if you ever want a sub in the future, they are plentiful.

Yeah I'm over the moon, you can never tell but if a ceramic Coke comes out then these originals can go crazy money ... Imo some people are asking crazy money for them now

Congratulations! I absolutely adore my Pepsi 16710 and SubC but if I had to sell one of them (don't make me!!!!) I think I'd keep the Pepsi.
Having said that, the SubC was purchased for my son and i'm just taking care of it for now.

Took some more pics with better lighting, happy to have got box and papers ... But the box isn't original , it's a box from a 2 tone date just 2.. The outer sleeve has the Referance on it.

I'm no expert but can anyone see signs of over polishing .. The watch had a service last year and no doubt it's been polished in its life.. But the brushed bracelet looks the same as my old sub c that was brand new

Love it! Welcome to the '16710 coke only watch' club!! Had mine for almost a year and find myself less and less interested in picking up another.

What made you flip your ceramic sub and why did you gravitate towards a 16710?

I felt the ceramic sub was a little too big, and a little clinical..

I've always loved the vintage GMT Masters especially the Pepsi and Coke.

And when I came across this example that was a 2004 no holes with solid end links I fell for it right away.. Felt amazing on wrist and give versatility if you pick up the all black and Pepsi inserts.

The potential of the watch adding in value over the years is nice, but wasn't a factor in my decision really.

Fantastic watch!!

Now, here's the deal, DO NOT FLIP! Unless you're flipping to me.

Kind Regards,

Ben
