removing ceramic bezel.

hello all,
i saw a video on youtube. the description says that its a 2014 submariner C
the video suggests it pops off same as the 16610.
thoughts?

I'm with you. He can't figure out the basics of videography but can be trusted to teach you to pop the bezel off an $8k watch?

Don't do it. It's very tight, you will crack the bezel trying to put it back on. Also, there is a plastic type ring that is 1 time use only.

Dont do it......... Many have tried but few have succeeded in getting it back on.

I'm with this guy.

I normally do most of the work on my watches and advocate others to take on easy tasks, but would only recommend this if you have experience working with watches, removing bezels, replacing crystals, and handling the ceramic materials to get a sense of how easy/hard it is to break them etc.

He's right, it's easy to crack the ceramic and you just tossed $800....and yes, the delrin ring that holds the bezel on needs to be replaced.

I would not mess with a ceramic bezel at all. Put that evil on Rolex to repair or change. Way too expensive to replace.

Dont believe everything you see on Utube,the ceramic insert needs special tools plus die its not a DIY job, and can break on installation if not done correctly. And with inserts costing from $375-$450 a expensive mistake,and that's if you could even source a genuine insert.

oh no hells no... i would not attempt this, i just wanted to see what your opinions of this was. would never even bother to do this... my luck is so good.....
