watch collection storage or display?
How do you display or store your watch collection? Display case, dresser drawer, security safe, what?
I'm curious to see pics of collections in display cases - the selections of cases on Amazon seem kinda crappy and low end. I'm sure many of you enthusiasts have better and more creative ways to handle your collection. |

Unfortunately I don't dare to display them in the living room for security reason. It's a pity, would be really nice, but the ones I don't wear sit in the safe.

I never understood those glass topped display cases.
If you own a collection of fossil or Invicta then what do you have to lose? For anything else it's just a convenience for the guy who robs your house. |

If I'm wearing a watch on a daily basis, it goes into one of those Oakley vault things for the night. I recently bought a Wolf watch winder which does a nice job displaying the watches as well.

Not necessarily. If you put the whole display box in the safe. I can understand the gratification and usefulness of seeing your collection together. I'm sure people don't leave them out on actual display. It's a personal hobby for the majority on here.

What's is the glass top for if not to display? 90%+ of watch boxes (based on my personal observation, not scientific study) are display boxes. Finding a decent solid topped box for the safe isn't easy. |

My sons gave me a glass topped, 4 display case. I keep it on my dresser in my bedroom. In it, I have my El Cheapo dress watch, Tudor Submariner and Casio Illumiator. The 4th slot is for rubberized, cloth and leather bracelets I wear at times.
