Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge...
I've been an iPhone user since day 1. Never had any issues but am looking for a possible change. I really like the cordless charging of the S7. I know that iPhone 7 will be out soon...any advice?

Honestly I've had man people make the switch between iPhone to android. It's a mistake. You will miss the iPhone. Even though Samsung phones are way ahead of iPhone in features and speed. Something about iPhone still grabs the market. Whatever that is, is what you'll miss.
Why do you want to change?

Truthfully the iPhone for the most part hasn't changed in years. I really like the wireless charging of the Samsung.

I think for popular apps there has been parity between the two operating systems the last few years. Apple kills anything Android for the 3rd party market for accessories. Hope this helps. IG - @kakashi_gram |

Also have a look at the note 7. Size wise there's not much of a difference and it also supports Qi charging. Note 7 has a faster processor and more RAM, and also has an edge display.
I'm not a fan of the TouchWiz ui so im using the google now launcher to get the ui as close to a nexus device. IG - @kakashi_gram |

Great timing on this post....after many years as an iPhone user, I have/had the 5C....I bought the note7 on Wednesday. I wanted a change in the size of phone, ease of texting, edge screen, stylus, cool features, etc... The Samsung was very advanced, very cool and I liked the stylus/writing on the screen option. Well...me being in my late 40's....the Samsung is awesome!!! (Screen, features, etc...) BUT, WAY more than I needed or wanted to learn :) I'm very used to the iPhone platform. So my 16 yr old daughter is the proud owner of a new Note7, and as of yesterday...I now own the iPhone 6SPlus....very happy!:)

I have had iPhones from the 3GS up to the 5S, I changed to the Galaxy series, I would not go back to the iPhone. ATM I am using a Motorola Nexus 6 (nearly 2 years old) on Nougat using the new Nexus launcher, it's superb for such an old phone.
If I was you I would possibly wait and see what the new iPhone 7 is like, although rumours are that it won't be anything spectacular but it would also give you time to see the next Nexus phone. IMHO, the best phone on the market atm is the Samsung Note 7.

I went from iPhone to Vertu. The phone is absolutely awesome. It comes with a concierge, has wireless charging and the speakers are bang and olufson and it has a hasselblad camera. It is handmade in England.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge...
I was always and always be an iPhone person. I now have the 6S. Always reliable, always fast, excellent built quality, goes perfectly with my other Apple products.
But just out of curiosity, why are we having this conversation in this forum? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Screenshot_2016-08-27-15-51-08.jpg Events like these are coordinated by Vertu as well as many many other privileges. I will never go back to any other phone.

The form factor of the Edge makes it more susceptible to screen damage since the cases have to be cut low on the sides. If you are hard on phones, I would consider the S7 (non-edge) or stick with any flat screen device. Good luck!

My Iphone 6 Plus got stolen but I saw it as a positive in a way because then I switched back to Android (S7 Edge, then now have an LG G5) and haven't looked back. Apple has really fallen behind with innovative features and the camera, which is very important for me. Plus I never got the hang of ITunes and being so restricted in what you can do without a root

I'm yet another Android phone user that came from Apple iPhones. No turning back for me either! That new Note 7 seems like a spectacular device.

Got a note 7 for my son. I and the wife will also get one when our contract is up in OCT. So far it looks like a great device.

I am too embedded in the Apple Ecco system, and I love it. I will be staying with Apple. My iPhone 6 Plus has worked flawlessly for nearly two years so no reason to change.

How is security and stability on the Samsung? I had a Galaxy S4 at work for 6 months and it crashed regularly. It also dropped calls all the time. All the guys issued this phone had a lot of trouble with it. I know that is several generations ago, but I'm still hearing about some stability issues with Samsung.
Also, how secure is Android compared to IOS? Which is more susceptible to hacking? Which is more susceptible to malware? |

P.S. i DID buy the Samsung VR goggles and headphones, doing the VR thing WAS pretty cool I'll sell those with the phone. |

A year old iPhone is still faster than the newest Samsung.

Apps on an iPhone don't run in the background (Well some can, music for example) so it will be fast when starting apps (it has nothing else running in the background). Android works differently, all the apps will be running in the background for true multitasking so naturally, will be slower to open, especially if the test was from a pro Apple site weighting the test in the iPhone's favour. Other factors come in to play such as the order they were opened to give further advantage.
Disclosure: I have two Mac Book Pro's an iPad Pro, iPad mini, two x iPod Clasic's and a Motorola Nexus 6, I had every iPhone from iPhone 3GS up too and including iPhone 5s so could hardly be called an Apple hater or detractor, in fact I am delighted with my Apple products which work seamlessly with my Nexus 6. My next iPhone will be when I believe it is better than the offerings from Samsung, atm I don't think that is the case, the new iPhone that will be released later in Sep is rumoured to have a small update in features but not in form, will it be better than my 2 year old Nexus 6? Probably, will it be better than the new Nexus 7 that will be released shortly? I don't know, will it be better than the new Note 7? I very much doubt it. Will it cost more? Most definitely.

I still wouldn't trade my Accord for either. I got a ticket doing 118mph in my Accord. My friend can get tickets and a trip to jail doing 160mph. He doesn't have near the trunk space, either.

I use Samsung because they make great phones and they will do things that iPhones won't because of Apple's "walled garden" approach.
Some people like living their lives within the safe confines of what others believe is best for them. I like to take my chances in a world of free will.
