FS: Unusual Omega Seamaster Professional Ch
For sale is an unusual Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer. Several years ago I purchased a box of watchmakers bankrupt stock at an auction. Amongst the rubbish and okay watches was the brand new, sealed movement for this watch, a crushed and unserviceable S/S case and an used but seviceable bracelet. I ordered a new replacement case from Otto Frei in SF and took the parts to my regular (retired) watchmaker who was trained by Omega and worked for them for many years as a senior horologist until he retired and returned to the UK; the result is this watch. I later found out that the movement was intended for the titanium/gold version of the watch which accounts for the 18k gold hands and dial trims. I believe that this makes for a really nice combination with the S/S case and blue bezel and does IMHO look better than the titanium/gold version. It's certainly drawn a lot of appreciative comments from my Omega-loving friends.
The face, case and crystal are in perfect condition and the bracelet shows some minor scratches consistent with normal use. The photos appear to show blemishes on this bezel, these are the result of dust or reflections in the camera lens; there are NO scratches or marks on the bezel. I have been forced to sell due to my partner prohibiting me from purchasing any new watches until i prune my current collection. I am not interested in a trade as I already have my eye on a couple of future purchases. The price is £1750 including expedited global delivery and full insurance. The buyer will be responsible for tax and duties and I will not put a fraudulent value on the customs declaration. I will accept Paypal but buyer will be responsible for additional costs; my preferred option is bank transfer and I will supply references from previous buyers on this forum. |
