Tax Time

For those of us who live in the Great White North, you will recognize the ad that is spoofed in this segment from The Rick Mercer Report........

"It's the best 60% of your income you will ever spend!" Ain't that the truth....

Hey, speaking of Tax Time...

I've been thinking about naming my Rolexes and claiming them as deductions, along with my cats. What do ya think???

In order for you to claim as a deduction, you must GIFT THEM to someone, say ME, as your accountant.

Nice idea on your part, but no cigar. I mean claim their asses as dependents - that would work as long as I don't get audited...

BTW, ya still want a couple of cats?

You can try, I'm nut up on US tax law's, but you in Canada we can claim "adoption" fees. So getting siblings for your "dependants" might be an option also.

My accountant just called me today to tell me what I had coming back. Too bad he left me a voice mail and Andie heard the message. I guess we will be doing hard wood floors instead of another Panerai.

Been there last year Btw, the dog hates the hardwood, poor guy has no traction at all. His little legs go a mile a minute and he barely moves an inch
Next time, give the accountant your cell number

We went the hardwood floor route ( wifes idea) . No lie, the first installers screwed it up really bad. The next ones in fixed it a bit, BUT they used the wrong "nail gun" and every 3rd board was marked from the rebound of the nailer.
The third time, not bad, have a few issues, but I AM NOT letting them back in.
All this because our water cooler blew a gasket & flooded the original floors.
BTW That Video is hillarious.
Daren, I'm not just saying this for your watch fund's purposes, but if you want, I can tell Andie our horror stories of hardwoods.

oh, yes, I make it a policy NEVER leave refund or balance owing amounts as messages.
Daren, ask your accountant for a discount for doing that too you
