Why hasn't Rolex created a model for doctors?

I was thinking today how Rolex has made a watch for scientists/engineers (Milgauss), the Daytona is aimed at Racecar drivers, the Submariner to divers, Yacht Master to people who own yachts, etc.

How come Rolex hasn't created a model aimed to doctors?

Seems like the perfect target audience to me...

Well, what feature is in the Yachtmaster related to Yachts? The YM II has a regatta timer but the YM one has nothing.

So what do you think a model for doctors should look like?

I am not a doctor but IMO, doctors should wear the DayDate. First of all doctors can easily afford this model and it has day/date which is useful for their profession.

Are you a doctor? What do you think a doctor would like to have on their Rolex?

Something to remind them to check their watch, so they can realize that you've been shuffled through 3 waiting rooms and they're an hour late...

Good question.

I know Longines made a watch with a pulsometer function. It actually looked pretty cool.

I would say any watch with easy means to capture time (Daytona, Sub, TOG, SD, etc.) is a good match for medical doctors / nurses, etc.

Easy to read time, easy to read seconds in a dark room and a date. Date change exactly at midnight(I work nights). That is all I want at work.

#1 is ease use of the second hand.

Doctor is in no way sexy enough. Unless it's a PhD in 16th century romantic literature. Rolex should totally make that watch!

All Rolexes are aimed at doctors - as the all have bph...aka pulse.

All they need to do is introduce a dress chronograph (whereas the Daytona is a sport chronograph). On the bezel put a pulse scale instead of a tachymeter.

They could further distinguish it from the Daytona by adding a date window.

Or they could make it a sport model that is described as a "fitness" oriented watch.

Because that's not cool enough lol

Doctors already are doctors. A sub allows them to be Jacque Cousteau

I don't think theres a specific function to be geared towards doctors. Just take your pick.
Our buddy Dr. Tom Kerr is a Daytona ambassador  but shares the love in the entire professional line.

Doctors dont need a watch. When was the last time you where at the doctors office and he was on time for the appointment? Or maybe rolex can make one that is an hour fast for them and they will be on time. LOL.. My doctor friends are never on time.

The Rolex Prince was called the doctors watch. They made some a few years ago. A rectangular case. A model from the 1920s.

My doctor has a DSSD. He used it to check my pulse once and I spend 15-20 minutes talking watches every appointment now. Best part is he grew up with Seikos like me, so we talk about all kinds of watches, not just Rolex.

This is what a Doctor's watch would look like....

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/in...er-chronograph

Measures Pulse and Respiration rate. It's basically a chronograph with purpose made scales. If they wanted to make it a little unique, they could have a separate sub-dial to count the number of hours in a shift.

Very cool! Rolex should make a 42-44 mm chrono and add these new markers.

I used to complain about the wait at appointments too, but once you've seen what it's like on the other side, you'd understand why.
