Singapore

Will be heading to Singapore this weekend with one of my daughters. This is part of a larger plan of taking a separate trip with each of my (3) kids on their own. The goal being to spend time and explore with each individually. I work a lot and so I think it will be a good experience - as much for me as for them.

[Hong Kong was banned by the wife because:
A. Kids have been there several times
B. She didn't want this to become a watch hunting trip with kid in tote]

Anything I should absolutely do while there?

Any watch stuff? Unsure of what pricing is like, but have been looking for an opportunity to get a hulk.

TIA.

Great shopping and eating. Watch shopping and other shopping is on Orchard Road.

Orchard Road, Raffles, Sentosa, the pool atop the hotel.... Enjoyed three months there last trip and always have a great time. Alas, tend to gain about a kilo every two or three weeks while there :(

Thanks. Yes, staying at Marina Bay Sands. However, in my brief research it looks like most of the kid stuff is in Sentosa. Makes me rethink if I should have stayed in Sentosa.

Lol Singapore seems to have an awful lot of Rolexes. Not sure where I just see alot coming out of there on eBay. Enjoy the trip, the trips I took alone with my dad are some of the best moments I've had in life with him. Much easier to relax with your parent when you're not around all the distractions we have at home.

Do you like curry? If so Monster Curry is a must!

Watches-wise, the most awful experience I've ever had in a Rolex AD was in Singapore. Talk about looking down your nose at potential customers.

Sentosa would be great. If you think about universal studio be there at the morning and get premium pass. Otherwise you will queue for hours.
Alternatively you may go to botanical gardens and orchid garden there, night safari at zoo is nice and bird park in jurong too where she can hand feed some birds.
Also garden by the bay and china town. You also may go to east cost changi jetty and get 10 min ferry to pala ubin island. You can bike there all day long , go see buterfly garden and do sea bridge walkand then have a good seafood at the jetty.
There are so many options here so maybe other sing residents can also suggest.

Yup :)

How about the monkeys?

Oh, and Sim Lim (both buildings) if you're an electronics geek and 303 is a nice mall. Alas, the Four Seasons aint what it once was for Sunday brunch, so choose Raffles. Sorry, forgot to mention that in previous post.

Food stalls

Did you know Singapore has THREE Krispy Kreme donut locations

I'd prioritize the river safari at the Zoo (night could be late for kids), the Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Luge (more fun than it looks) and Arab street

Finally, a food hawker center (maybe Golden Mile) would be awesome

Those activities should have you covered. The amazing pool at the MBS is very kid friendly. There's watches there too, so your wife might get grumpy on your way to the train station lol.

Garden by the bay is great. I'm not sure how old your daughter is but they have a relatively large area with a lot of water fountains that the kids can play with. My daughter was only 2 at the time but loved it. You definitely need to go to Singapore Zoo too.

There's loads of watch shops in the shopping centre below MBS with all the major brands having a boutique.

The customs officer was wearing a 16610.

Should have complimented. Maybe he would have let me through.
