NYC Steak nuts...

Just watched this Eater video and my head is about to pop-off who has been here, who has tried this ribeye...

I've been to Hill Country but never had this nor do I recall seeing it on the menu

I thought their food wad mediocre. NYC doesn't know BBQ. But I'd try this

I love a good char on my dry-aged steaks Renato but there is something so appealing about adding the smoke element to a great piece of beef. Asa long as it isn't over cooked LOL

4 blocks from my apartment.... may have to give it a try.

But I agree with Renato that generally NYC doesn't do BBQ well.

Do you get your own steak or is it meat sliced up and sold by weight?
John Browns in Queens has excellent BBQ BTW

Too far downtown for me. I prefer to stick to the UES.

I happen to think Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem does a good BBQ, it was better than some highly rated Texas joints I've been to.

Marc, I agree with you that I like a nice char on my steak. I wonder if throwing it on a smoking hot grill or broiler after it comes out of the smoker would be better.

BBQ is one of those things where everyone has a different take. I really like Carolina style with vinegary pork and such

NYC Steak nuts...

Never been to the Beatrice Inn. It had a reputation of being a restaurant that had a night club atmosphere- the thought of trying to enjoy dinner while techno is blaring and people dancing on their chairs has zero appeal to me. Maybe it's different under the new ownership. It's kind of in my hood so I'll walk by there
