First Rolex - woohoo :) too loose?
Hola ladies and gents,
Finally got my first Rolex (actually, several months ago from DavidSW, but was sitting in storage for awhile as I was relocating, etc.). Anyhow, it's beautiful! Perfect midsize 31mm size for me! So glad to have had this forum's recommendations for David as he is awesome and great prices. Quite a bit cheaper even than the preowned ones at my local reseller's! So I've just had it resized on Saturday at said reseller's. But, now that I've been wearing it yday and today, I think it's just a bit loose. It can shift all the way from below my wrist bone to quite a few inches down... hmm :/ But also worried that the one extra link will make it too tight. Thoughts? Also, do you folks wear your bracelet watches for action sports (e.g., tennis?) Definitely with the looseness right now, I'd find it hard to play... but on the other hand, having the extra give is good in the balmy summer time. |

I would tighten it up a bit. Also yes you can play tennis with that datejust. I wouldn't do anything that you would be slamming your wrist in the ground. But tennis should be all right. Ive played tennis with my Panerai and AP on as well as golf.

That's way too loose, which can cause a few problems. First, it will accelerate the wear on the bracelet, and it will reduce the rotor's ability to wind the watch. Looks like you need to remove a link and make a micro adjustment inside the clasp. You can also open the 5mm easylink when you want it looser.

I've found the Jubilee bracelet to be the most comfortable bracelet Rolex makes. For tennis etc it's fine

Just a little bit tighter wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for the input! will head back to the jeweler and get another link removed. Hopefully he will not charge me full price again considering i listened to his recommendation for the original 3 links! >.<

Gorgeous watch. I wear mine where I can slip my pinky under the band, so a little loose.

Just had another link removed (no fee :)) but darn. I think I have one of those awkward wrists where it's either too tight or too loose. Haha. But I think I prefer tighter. Will that result in the jubilee band loosening faster? Unfortch this band does not have the quicklink. Could really use that

Awesome. Thanks for this info. I will keep it on the tighter setting. It's weird bc I agree. In the photo it looks like there's really a ton of space. Yet w one more removed, it doesn't really move much w the friction against skin and leaves marks. But again, better than too loose I think! |

I wear mine snug enough so the case stays put on the back of my wrist. When I want to read the time I don't have to snap my wrist over to "flip" the watch into position.
