Where to buy a vintage 1950s Rolex?

Hello,

I'm searching for a nice vintage 1950s or 1960s Rolex.
Do you know of any reliable dealer/websites I could look at?

Thanks

Post some WTB notifications in the various forums/classifieds. State precisely the models/references you're interested in acquiring.

My very best advice - to the novice - be careful when buying vintage sports models and other collector watches from the '50s and '60s and later years as well.

There are watches for sale with fake cases, re-stamped cases, refinished dials, altered dials, fake "original" paperwork, incorrect paperwork, incorrect parts and other shenanigans that draw fraudsters to this hobby. Many "self proclaimed" experts can't tell the contrary of what they proclaim to know.

Most vintage watches - the coveted collector watches from the early years - are worth tens of thousands of dollars now, some even hundreds of thousands.
