Guarantee Card

I just bought a new 114060 from a "trusted seller" today. Love the watch, but the guarantee card MAYBE a problem.... on the front the serial and model is correct, on the back lists a retailer and date of purchase is filled out.... QUESTION IS THE Purchaser spot has lines thru it.... no name or address..... Is this going to be a problem if I try to have it repaired under the 5 year ???

The reason I ask is the statement printed on the card "This Guarantee is valid only if filled out and dated by the official Rolex retailer"

Thanks in advance, Be Safe JIM

What do you mean "The purchaser spot has lines thru it"? Post a pic!

If you need warranty service, I'd suggest you send it to Dallas instead of NYC. :)

I wouldn't count on the warranty with it completed like that. Review the warranty book language but I think it says "completed in full by authorized retailer." Don't know if the slashed instead of a name counts.

But do agree...probably want to use Dallas vs NY RSC

Good luck

You may want to have a talk with your TS.

That's a red flag to NYC. Their next question, "can you please send us a copy of the bill of sale".

Open card is one thing, that card, deliberately blocks out adding a name. I wouldn't be happy.

Not sure how Dallas would handle that.

Why would someone do that? Perhaps someone has the legal name of, "/ / /"?

As long as the AD scanned in the card you should be fine. Agree tho, avoid NYC RSC as they can be a bit picky.

i wouldn't panic. many people i know leave the name blank (myself included on occasion when they ask at the cashier) for corp purchases or those who know it may be flipped in the future and want that info confidential (although i've not seen the diagonal lines used before).

the main thing is that a date is present. if it were a grey market, it wouldn't even have a card with the watch - so you're one better. since the serial number is correct and there is a sale date (presumably the correct one) with retailer name, you should be fine.

enjoy the watch!

You are absolutely fine. One time I purchased a gmtiic and when it arrived the name in the warranty cars was completely erased. I spoke with RSC in NY and explained to them that I had bought it preowned and the name was scratched out. They assured me that as long as the date is written in and the AD stamped the card you are covered for the full duration of the warranty. The name is NOT required.
