New Guy, New (to me!) Rolex!

Hi all,

I've lurked around here long enough! Always had an interest in watches, my first foray into Mechanicals came with the purchase of a Speedy Pro a couple of years ago. I since added a Seiko SKX. For almost a year, I wanted a GMT watch (I'm British, living in the US, working in 'Zulu' time). I went through a long process of watch-shopping, and eventually settled on....

The Polar Explorer II, 16570. Z Serial, with the 3185. Stunning. And accurate to <1spd.

See my burgeoning collection below... I'd love to add a JLC at some point as well!

I like that each piece offers something unique in your collection. Anyone could tell which one you're wearing from across a room.

The polar explorer didn't catch my eye at first, but the more i see it, the better I like it. Love that big, manly fixed 24-hr bezel, and that great look when the lume is charged.

Nice collections; started out with an Omega and soon the scales were tipped towards Rolexes.
