I love it! Just wish it came with a smooth bezel like the 36mm DD.

Agree. I would own a WG & RG DD40 if you could get a smooth bezel...

I must say I like the dark dial one a bit better, but both are stunning. As you say, understated elegance. You won't have most people stopping you on the street, unless they're from hereabouts. Congratulations, you have one hell of a rotation there!

prefer your dial, that blackout one would be a pain in the grey, dark, rainy, overcast ....ie normal weather we have here in the UK

Why are there so few of these for sale? Can this be had at 20k USD realistically?

Actually the DDII values have risen as of late. You can buy a LNIB DD40 for less than a LNIB DDII.

Superb, usually not a fan of Roman's, but the dial on this watch is stunning, Romans work perfectly, so elegant.

Went searching for this type of dial, with the rings around the outer dial - is the dial configuration a specific reference....beautiful...can you share the exact reference number, one in the header didn't turn up anything with that exact dial - thanks.

edit - found it - ceramic concentric dial configuration, Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date II 218239....and I actually prefer it with the Romans, fantastic.
