Which one looks better on my wrist?

Hey guys I am not too happy with the way my sub fits on my wrist (after living with it and wearing it every day for 2 weeks.) and I think it has to do with the maxi case.

I think I am leaning towards the YM instead because of the slimmer lugs and how they taper slightly around my wrist. I was curious to get some opinions on which one you guys thought looked better (I already know in my mind which one looks better, just thought I'd ask.)

Thank you in advance and thank you for all the awesome information on these forums

Sorry I cannot figure out how to embed yet (I've tried clicking on the picture tab to upload and it hasn't worked yet, I have tried different image hosting sites too.)

I think they both look good on you. My personal preference would be the sub, but that's the watch rather than the fit to you.

I'm with the others, both look great. I personallly prefer the the sub, but it is your wrist and your watch you have to go with what sings to you.

I'm a Sub man but I'd have to say that the YM really pops on your wrist and seems to suit a little better . both are lovely so you can't go wrong either way.

Well it's great you tried both on and took photos

That's exactly what I do now.

I would go with the YM based on your photos.......

HOWEVER, have you tried the SD4K.......the Sea Dweller?
I had never tried one until at my AD I tried one, and HAD IT SIZED.....
Then, as they say it was history.

Anyway, just a thought .......and good luck !!

If it's the maxi case putting you off but you prefer the look of the sub over the YM, try the SD4K

Sub for the long term. With resale it is like having money in the bank, and it looks fine IMO.

Thank you! I actually "prefer" the sub just not on my wrist haha. It's my favorite watch,
just not comfortable on my wrist (7'5'')

I'm a sub man as well and it bums me out that it doesn't fit me right. Thank you very much for your response.

Yes I actually ended up trying on the SD4k at the AD (because I heard if you don't like the maxi case try that) but I had the same problem it just wasn't comfortable.

Yeah it does, it's smaller and tapered lugs seem to hug my wrist and it is very comfortable (for me 7'5'' non flat wrists) Thank you!

That's exactly what I heard and I was excited to try on the SD4k. I thought it would be the solution to all of my problems. Unfortunately it wasn't comfortable for my wrist for some reason. bummer...

I agree it is my favorite watch and my grail. I waited 16 years to own one (wanted one since I was 16 haha) and now that I finally have it, while I love the look of it (minus the maxi case on my wrist) it just is not comfortable. Thank you for your response.

Thanks again for everyone's response. Just an addition to the story. I chose the 114060 over the 14060 for the upgrades (IE ceramic bezel, blue lume, glide lock clasp, solid end links etc) and when I tried on the 14060 just to see it seemed less quality (IE lighter and flimsier, I know, I know blasphemy on TRF just my opinion haha. It's still a GREAT looking watch though)

I am going to mess around with the link arrangement on my SubC and see if I can find a comfortable fit before putting it up for sale this week bums me out.

If it doesn't fit well or feel good you'll never wear it, or if you force yourself to you'll not enjoy it. The Sub is a great watch, but so is the YM. It's more dressy, an AD told me it the dressy version of the Sub. I love the blue dial on the YM, much less often seen vs. the Sub.

Yeah I agree, I really have to be happy with the watch for it to be my every day watch. I love the sub it's my favorite looking watch but the YM is really nice too. I am more casual in my dress so I am afraid that the YM will be too dressy for my style (although it looked pretty good when I had it on with jeans yesterday.) I appreciate the response and I'm just sad after wanting this sub for so many years and finally getting it.

I thought about going for the BLNR (I actually tried it on a week ago but forgot to take pictures ) It looked great on my wrist like I believe the sub does, but I think I will run into the same issue with the big maxi case on the GMT after wearing for a couple weeks.

Hopefully me messing with the link positions will make the sub fit comfortably and this will all be a non issue. If that happens I will still be buying the YM but not right now.

Did you look at the sea dweller at all? Ceramic bezel, smaller lugs kind of best of both worlds, modern watch with traditional features. I'd consider this in place of the Sub before the YM. That said I do really like that YM, there blue dial and red accents are just terrific. A great piece to add to a sub or SD in your collection.

Have you tried wearing the sub a little higher - above your wrist bone?

I recon you need to get the bracelet properly sized then see how you feel
