50% off Tudor

Hi almighty TRF friends, I was offered a BNIB Tudor Heritage Chrono from US AD with full warranty for 50% off, is it a good deal?

I am not sure if this is the right place to post so forgive me if it's wrong.

Thank you.

Not possible to get 50% off Tudor from AD. They have a 38% margin as far as I know. They would be throwing money away. I have never heard of anyone getting above %30 on tudor.

Thank you. They are trying to do clearance now. I know it sounds too good but I can trust the AD it's been in business for long time and I bought my first Rolex 5 years from them.

Sounds as if you already know it's a great deal, assuming you like the watch. Who wouldn't want 50 percent off of retail on any new item?

I am not that familiar with Tudor and their market price so I want to double check on the forum. I kinda like the watch but not must have. I came to visit the AD today to check Daytona C but found this surprisingly.

unless you're planning to flip, I won't get a watch that I wasn't in love with. If you can make some money off it and put it towards a watch you really want, do it. But remember, selling a watch isn't always easy. There can certainly be some headaches along the way. So as long as you know there's some value in those efforts as well.

If you really like the watch though, think you can wear it for a while while deciding, then flip for all your money back or more, I would do it.

Good place to start researching would be watchrecon.com Look up the reference and see what they're going for used and BNIB. Also remember, just cause a power seller has it listed for a certain price doesn't mean you can. If i was trying to sell the same watch in the same condition as DavidSW, for the same price or more, who are you gonna go with?

If it's true that would be a pretty good deal, but the question is why such a steep discount prior to the holidays.

p.s. Where's this AD at! Lol

Really doubt this is true. They could sell their inventory to a grey seller and make more money.

I don't think it has anything to do with holiday reason but they simply try to clear their inventory. I am not sure whether I should reveal the name of AD because they may be breaking the contract with Rolex/Tudor so I sorry I can't tell.

I wouldn't post the name of the AD here but feel free to PM those interested if you like. Perhaps one of them can confirm you are not trolling us

Considering he's been a member since 2009 I doubt it.

For OP, if you know the AD and are comfortable go for it--but only YOU know all of the facts so we are looking outside in.

Thank you too for the feedback.

Seems a lot of people are doubting as I can understand (apparent it's a good deal) but I usually just read the forum and couldn't see any benefit for being trolling here.

Btw I did put $100 deposit so I can decide within a week.

If you like the THC, now would be the time to move.

If you don't like it enough to buy at full retail, though, I don't think you'd like it any more for it being half price.

i'd say you're good if its bnib at 50% off. its a very fine watch if you're open to rolexeses sister brand.

but,

since when is 50% off msrp on any legitimate rolex tudor watch not a good deal to a trf member?

The better question is how many Tudors do they have to sell at half off?

They have 4 heritage chrono and 1 dress watch I didn't pay too much attention to. Some other lady's model as well.

Yeah...that's not bad. But surely if they're willing to give 50%, you should be able to get %60...?

Even when my AD held a clearance event the max discount was 25-30%.

at 50 off?? Go for it, the watch sells for 1950 ish to torneau on a trade in...so half off of MSRP gets you pretty close to that and thats the BOTTOM price for selling it. Not much to lose there.

The margin on Tudors in the US is 55%. So they have 45% profit to play with. Only a good deal if you want the watch. Contact a few Trusted Sellers and see what the sell or trade value is. Tudor is one of my favorite brands and a fine watch.
