How and where you store your watch
I was wondering how you guys store and keep your watch when you're not wearing it.
I will first clean the watch and put it back on the shipping box "coffin" and store it in my safe box. |

do not store it in your bedroom, at least this is what insurance companies insist you cannot do.

The ones in the safe deposit box are in Rolex caskets. The ones off-wrist in the rotation are in the home safe and the one I'm wearing sleeps in the dresser in the tie drawer.

When the piece is in rotation, its either on a winder or in a leather wood jewellery box from Florence.
If the piece is in storage in the vault, I wrap it in a velvet cloth and put in a suede pouch.

Mine goes into a 900lb. Burglary and fire resistant safe. It is bolted to the floor and has additional supports in the crawl space. Look to spend as much as a SS Rolex to protect your in investment or in a safe deposit box at your Bank.
Or really you could just wear it all the time if you only have one...

I only have the one an 114060, its had a nice time on my wrist today covered in wallpaper paste while i decorated the front room. I take it off for work and stick it somewhere out of sight (i work all over the place mainly offshore and random UK factories).

I'm patiently waiting for the "dog with the watch on his head" photo. I don't remember who posted it last time there was a thread like this.

Nice selection there parsfdon.
I do have a safe but it's full of ww2 things so rarely use it. Rolex is perched on the bedside 'ready' lol When I buy another rolex il keep the one I'm not wearing in the safe I think. |

Mine is usually on my wrist all the time unless I'm sleeping... I'll have to figure out a more solution when I start expanding my collection

The expensive ones are in a safe deposit box at the bank.
I just lay them on a soft, flannel cloth. I have a drawer full of lesser watches at home with no special accommodations. Whatever watch I'm using at any given time stays on my wrist, unless I'm showering or sometimes when I'm sleeping. Then the watch is on a desk or table.

You can ask your AD if you have a decent enough relationship. Or maybe an AD you have no relationship with would want to start one, and simply give you on. Every Rolex ships to the AD's in the plastic cases. I've heard a lot of ADs throw them away lol!
Or spend $10 and get one on ebay. |

lol my watches are stored in a 12" thick metal safe that's practically a vault. nice having my own safe at work. then whenever I want to wear something different, I just swap watches.

i just hide mine randomly throughout my apartment... i cannot put a safe in as the owners wont let me bolt one down and as im never in one place longer then 6-12 months so it would get expensive buying a new safe for every new city/country i move to lol!
Good luck to them finding them... sometimes i cannot find them..... took me an hour the other day to remember where i stashed my AP ROO hahaha!
