wanting somthing different but what?

ok so I've owned a bunch of different Rolex' over the years & looking to add another but I've looked and lusted after so many I have no idea what to buy myself!!!! lol

I currently own a faded 16800 that I wear every day & love I mean I love my current Sub!! Also a two tone black 6605 that I wear a handful of times a year.

I thought I wanted a Daytona but I just cant seem to love them. Since AD's never have SS ones in stock I almost never get to try them on 116500 or 116520.

The 116622 blue yahtmaster looks great in pics but I'm not sure I would wear it regularly. Also prices for the blue are a little more than I'd like to spend.

The GMT's are my next choice. Love the older matte dialed ones but feel like since I have 2 older ones that I want something newer. would run to my nearest AD and pay in full if they would give us a Coke GMT!!! The batman doesn't do much for me & the black is ok but doesn't sing to me. not sure why?

I've tried the DSD but felt like I would bang it on everything as high as it sits. the SD4000 is great but I feel like its to close to a Sub in looks & I'm wanting something that looks different

Are there any models I've missed or recommendations you guys might have?
PM pieces are out as I couldn't wear them hardly ever & most 2 tones don't fit my lifestyle either.

And yes I know I'm crazy but aren't we all!!! lol

You've pretty much ruled out a majority of the lineup, haha. I'd suggest the classic and understated Explorer or maybe if you're looking for something really different you can always go Milgauss. Other than those you'd be looking at a DJ or OP

Haha that's unfortunate. I can speak from personal experience that the JLC Deep Sea is a great watch and would be a good choice because you already have a Rolex. Just make sure if you go that route to buy at a great price. JLC gets hit hard in the resale value department.

Yeah I found one a while back that I should have bought but hesitated. When I realized what a good deal it was of coarse it was gone!!! I wanted to make sure I was getting it right so I wouldn't take a huge hit like I have in the past on other brands that "I had to have at the moment"!!

How about a 116234 DJ in silver sunburst. A surprisingly versatile watch.

I've been looking at 36mm DJ's lately. Ever time I try one on it feels small but also because I'm usually wearing my sub when I do. I don't feel like my old 6605 wears small but I think that's because of the history behind mine I'm the 3 generation to own it. Love the super jubilee but like the older brushed oysters on the DJ.

I want to like the exp1 & love the way it looks In pictures but the few times I've tried it at the local AD I thought I've thought I don't know if I like it. The new AK is very cool looking but don't know if it's for me?

Unfortunately at 37yrs old I'm not sure I could pull it off. Also my job would prohibit me from wearing one to work ever. I am in sales & deal mostly with blue collar guys who just couldn't fathom that I could own a gold Rolex & would think that I'm screwing them over from then out to pay for my out of control lifestyle!!! Yet some live in bigger houses than me!!! Lol

I say go for the YM Blue now for some PM, and then when you hit 40 you'll be ready for a whole lot more.

Besides an Explorer II I would give the new Air-King a good look if you can see one in person. It's got that semi matte dial and feels really nice on the wrist.

Datejust II. Can be had for less than the YM. Still get a pop of color. Can play it down with smooth bezel or let it shine a bit with fluted. 41mm so similar same size as your sub. 3135 movement so you can be sure its tough.

I feel like they look to big. I wish they made them in 39mm I feel like it would be the perfect size of they had used a case like the exp1 39mm. The proportions look out of whack to me after being used to the old 36mm DJ.

My father has a blue one & I love it. I even barrrowed it from him for a month to see if I should buy my own but I can't wear flashy stuff mon-fri. So could t justify it for weekend use.

what about a more modern black sub date or no date?

You said you wear one daily and you love it so why change away from subs?

Are we expecting any different sub models from basel 17?
