Tiger Woods & Rolex
Was scrolling through my Instagram and noticed Tiger Woods is now being sponsored by Rolex! Looks like he's making his comeback.

I saw the post on IG and read through a bunch of the comments both there and here.
Why is it a big deal that Tiger has a sponsorship with Rolex, isn't Rolex purely just a symbol of success? Tag appeals to a different demographic, and maybe that demographic would feel less comfortable associating with someone like Tiger in light of his marital issues, but I doubt the average Rolex consumer would feel uncomfortable wearing a product that Tiger wears. |

He has been an ambassador for them for years after a short hiatus.

He was dropped late 2009 by Tag Heuer after his public shaming then moved to rolex not long after.

Rolex stuck with him through his marriage challenges. I salute them for that. There is a video out there showing Rolex introducing him to the Sky Dweller - pretty good watch.

I always felt Rolex was grabbing TAG's sloppy seconds with the signing. It seems odd for a brand that likes to be synonymous with untarnished excellence.

The advert is for a 116610, can see a cyclops.
Seems he prefers to wear a dssd, since that's what we always see him wearing around events

tiger woods? What a tool. I thought Rolex would want better character with which to be associated.

He's had indiscretians, but who hasn't? Look at who we just elected as president. Rolex knows that Woods is one of the most recognizable spokesperson on the planet and probably feels the sex scandal is far behind him. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk |
