Santa Came Early

Attached are pictures of my new BLNR watch. You will see I am playing with the time zones to show different options. I will start with NY local time and London GMT and figure out when I travel works best for me. Also, let me know if I did the 4 time zone examples correct. I know the date is wrong in 2 of the pictures.

I created a new AD "relationship" since my regular AD was not able to deliver the watch in time. Still purchased locally and I am happy with the discount and service I received.

Watch feels and fits good on my wrist. It is much lighter than my Daytona. I am guessing that might be the TT with the Gold.

Also, I did not realize the box was much smaller than the one for my Daytona? I saw an unboxing and the box was bigger. I called Rolex and they said the box size is the Oyster S and that is what my box has printed. Any thoughts. My guess is the folks on this forum are more knowledgeable when the regular Rolex person answering the phone.

Time to remove the stickers.

Congrats...great watch!

Re: the box. They are telling you the right thing. The newer steel boxes are ridiculously small. I watched my AD try to stuff my new Daytona in one...it was painful.

Congratulations!! Yes, the TT would be heavier!! Also the box size difference is normal!! The Daytona comes in a slightly larger box.

Beautiful pick up!!

Congrats It's a great watch. The box is probably correct. I just picked up an Explorer this past weekend and got the small box too. Its OK, takes up less space.

Congrats on the pickup! Beautiful watch!

They discounted the BLNR for you? I need to find an AD like that

My AD said no way I would get a discount on that, maybe it's time to shop around

Thanks. Definitely need to shop around. A few of the AD said no discount, but a few were open. Also, it is difficult to have the conversation if they don't have the watch in stock. I am lucky to have several AD with in 10 miles of my house.

GMT2 Manual Basics

Well, I thought I knew what I was doing setting the multiple time zones. I read the manual (last resort) and noticed I was setting the third zone incorrectly.

The manual says set Reference time first. This can be anything. I choose London time for now. New York is my Local time and used the dial for Chicago time. Note, the first 2 two time zones can be read simultaneously. In my case NY and London. The 3rd time zone is using the bezel and it only that point in time.

3:10pm NY
8:10 pm London ( 20 on bezel- night time - black)
2:10pm Chicago (Turn Bezel 6 clicks) (day time -blue) - Now, you have to bring the bezel pack to starting point to see London correct hour marker.

Having fun playing with the dial, and trying to understand how to operate.

Mine is always set to London time and then the bezel moved to represent Las Vegas time. I love that place! I always make sure though that the 24 hour hand is always GMT.
