A Michael Young Christmas (bracelet restoration)
So as the title implies, yesterday I received my oyster bracelet back from having it restored by Michael Young. I shipped the bracelet to him on November 10th and it had it in my hand yesterday afternoon.
Prior to the restoration it was very loose and some of the links were very worn. I sent Michael pictures of the bracelet before shipping it to him, and he recommended laser welding for the worn links. I am very happy with the quality of the workmanship. The bracelet looks brand new, ready to take on another 30+ years of use. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Zack |

The total cost was $505.00. That price represents restoration, laser welding, return shipping, and PayPal fees. Based upon what a replacement bracelet would have cost from Rolex, I am very satisfied with the price.
In the near future I will be sending him the jubilee bracelet from my mothers date just. That bracelet is very worn, hopefully he can perform a miracle with it. The watch needs service first however. |

May I suggest you send the DJ to RSC and the bracelet to MY at the same time and that way your mom won't have to wait extra time to get it back. |

Guys, I'm not knocking the work as I've seen some incredible restorations by MY. I plan to send my Jubilee to him next year.
However, looking at those pics I'm struggling to see much of an improvement in stretch? I am viewing on an iPhone, so perhaps that's it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Pics don't really do it justice. I had an oyster bracelet restored by MY, and the before/after pics didn't really capture how bad the stretch was before or how tight the links were after.

I'm sure I could have worn it longer the way it was, but I didn't want to risk further damage to it. The bracelet has sentimental value to me and I wanted it to be perfect. |

That is a great restoration, looks like new. Better than new because it's original and looks so good!
