my Day/night is losing time.

my 2011 Day/night is losing time.

twice in the last month it will lose 1 hour in a day. but it will go for 2 weeks just fine. and it's been exactly 1 hour.

any thought?

I would personally give it a good 40 winds and observe it over the next couple days - maybe you aren't being active enough. However, an hour off seems very unusual normally it's a matter of minutes. If the problem persists even after you've given it it's full power reserve, then it is time to give RSC a call.

Do some research on magnetizing- maybe that is your issue. I once had a Tag Heuer that gained hours per day because of being magnetized.

Doesn't magnetizing speed up a watch though? And Parachrom is supposed to be "Crafted from a paramagnetic alloy, it is unaffected by magnetic fields" (though I don't know from experience if that is truly the case.)

Seems very odd 1) that it would be exactly 1 hour, and, 2) that it would be intermittent. I've observed slowing down a few seconds before stopping due to insufficient movement, but I wouldn't think you could lose a whole hour before stopping?

Have to agree and the chance of being exactly a hour off twice is about the same odds as being struck by lightening,and in general most times with these huge loss or gain errors its down to owner error.

I've heard the BLNR being called Night/Day before. Actually, if you look at the bezel the blue corresponds with day (6a to 6p) and the black corresponds with night (6p to 6a).

Essentially all GMT bi-color bezel inserts indicate day/nite with alternate colors at 0600 and 1800 hour marks.

You still have to wind an automatic watch. You're running at the bottom of the power reserve almost all the time.

I didn't know that you had to wind it but I use to but not lately and I was thinking last night that both times this happened I took off my watch to exercise and with a shower it sat on my desk for about 2 hours.
do you think that's all it would take. I can't test this theory now because I wound it 40 times yesterday.
