Rolex Repair Center

I live in Las Vegas and called one of the local Rolex dealers listed on www.rolex.com to inquire about where to send my new Batman Rolex to have the crystal replaced (don't ask me how but I have a really tiny nick on the crystal). The gentleman said they would have to send it out to the west coast repair center and have them see if it can be covered under warranty or not and said with a full service it might be about $1000 if it was not covered under warranty. I asked if I could call them myself and send them the watch and he said yes and to go to www.rolex.com. Of course I can't find the repair center on the site so here I am to see if someone knows the number to the repair center on the west coast. Any help to send me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty unlikely that a chipped crystal would be covered by warranty. They almost always require a service to ensure that no shards are in the movement and so unless it's pretty bad, it might be best to leave it until you actually need a service.

Wynns on the strip has a Rolex qualified watchmaker that may be able to replace the crystal alone..

Out of interest, which dealer did you call? I'm also in Vegas, relatively new to the town and Rolex ownership (I have a couple of Omegas also) and would welcome some good info if you have any

I had the crystal on my Datejust replaced when I sent it in to Watch Buyers Group in Pasadena http://www.thewatchbuyersgroup.com/ for a service, it cost an additional $100 and the whole service was about 1/2 of the cost of an RSC. Some feel it important to use an RSC, but I was very pleased with this Group. Of course if you can live with the tiny chip you mention until you need a service anyway might be a good idea, Perhaps you could post a picture of your "tiny chip."

I was just thinking that. Vegas is luxury watch heaven. Go in there and they can ship it to RSC for you.

I'd check with Beverly Hills first. I'm not sure you can send a watch to that facility like you can with Dallas or New York. It may be drop-off only customers.

So I went to the Rolex store inside the Wynn and had their watchmaker look at it. It's definitely and very very tiny chip and the watchmaker said he can replace the crystal no problem.

I called the Beverly Hills RSC and they would not replace the crystal because of how new the watch is. She said I would have to wait for the full 5 years until service time which lead me to visit the Rolex store at the Wynn.

How did I do it? I honestly had no clue as I am super careful with my watches. I've never had any issue with the crystal on any of my watches, just one of those fluke deals I guess.

Can't remember who I spoke with but she said they would not do it. No big deal since the Rolex store @ the Wynn will. Just glad I found a solution!
