My collection after one week
Well after one week I think I have a pretty nice collection going .
No clue how much money I've spent afraid to add up |

You have been busy. Great choices. Nice range of dial colors and models. Wise choice moving that 5513 for the 114060. Congrats on the collection.

Great start to a collection and for 1 week - WOW. Why did you go with the quartz Seamaster? (just curious)
Love the ND Sub -- sooooo classic and beautiful - the ultimate tool watch. Best not to add up what we spend on this hobby (obsession?) :) |

Ray wears a number of watches in the show - almost all of which I love. Not a bad reason at all! He does indeed wear a SMP frequently on bracelet -- [[[correction: it is indeed the quartz version - looks like it's perhaps his personal watch]]]
Thread about the show's watches: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/watc...n-1060437.html cheers |

It's his watch in real life was a gift from his wife . Has worn it in several movies too I have always had a collection but not this high end Hamilton Ventura's and down tags and tons on vintage |

It still has the blue face, right? That's a nice one. Monaco is classic. |

True, as are phases 2 through 10.
It's hard advice to take (I didn't), but I think it's better to take it slow and enjoy each piece for a while. It's nice to be able to afford $30K worth of watches back to back to back, but it diminishes the enjoyment of each piece. A $6k timepiece is an amazing work of mechanical art that could provide years of enjoyment. But many of us enjoy the hunt and then throw it in a box and look for the next $10K piece. It's a consumer problem. |

Off to a good start. I just added an SMP 2254.50 myself. Almost went quartz because of the show but ultimately went with the automatic. Great watch for the money.

agree- SMPs are affordable and wear great. the older SMP models have aged very well compared to lots of contemporary models.
