Incoming - Blue Yacht-Master

After admiring this watch for a years I finally decided to buy one after getting a great deal. I love the blue dial, as with all Rolex sunbursts it is spectacular, and has a nicely darker shade than my YG Sub's blue that matches so well with the red accents.

My bugbear with this watch has always been the bezel which in pics often looks overlarge but in real life it is absolutely fine, and with the platinum and lovely finish it really serves to elevate this beautiful watch. I'm so very pleased with it, should have bought it years ago!

Nice pickup - amazing dial on that one. Should be interesting to see how it competes with
BBN and no date.

congrats! the dial will look a bit chunky when you put it in immediate contrast to many other pieces, but it's not overdone and the sparkle of spectral colors you will get from the platinum in natural light is so worthwhile! enjoy it!

Many thanks, my friends, we suddenly had a few days of sun so I just whipped out the camera and took a few shots. Haven't even sized it yet, will do all of that on the W/E.

I have three SS now Adam so you raise a good point. I'm finding I really like a bit of colour on my SS too.

The polished and sand-blasted finish on the platinum is really well executed, and looks magnificent esp out in the sunlight, just a gorgeous watch overall.

Thanks. Sizing and stickers will all be done this W/E when I have some more time and presumably the weather returns to awful normal.
