Rolex DateJust Help!

I am considering the possibility of purchasing the below DateJust and would like a few second opinions. The serial number is R7XXXXX which puts it somewhere in the 1988 range. Model number is 16234. Everything seems to be legit; however, the lume plots seem a little off to me. In all the other examples I've seen (and believe me I've been looking) the lume plots for this particular dial tend to touch the minute track and these don't. Can there be variation like this? Am I thinking too much about this???

I know it's policy not to describe specific flaws that may aid in future scammers on the forums, but if anyone does see something a miss would you mind sending me a PM? I'm new to this world and would love to get a better handle on it.

Thanks in advance!!

Do you have more pictures? Remember buy the seller before buying the watch. BTW, the looks good from here.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I have been having a pretty good conversation with the seller who seems to be a reasonable and honest guy. I think since this is my first possible purchase, I'm being extra diligent/paranoid...

Here are a few more pictures:

Some friendly advice.

Sometimes the best scammers give this impression!

A proven history of sales in high end watches and positive feedback from their customers might be a safer path towards a good outcome.

There is a reason why the 'watch out' threads have a lot of traffic.

I dont see anything out of the ordinary on the watch but as stated above, buy the seller and not the watch. Hopefully you receive what is posted in the pictures. Be sure to pay with a means that can be refunded if there is an issue. If he is not a known seller and only accepts a wire transfer then I would walk away.

Thanks for the quick replies and helpful info. I agree milov, I have purchased a few watches online thus far (although none with the propensity to be replicated as a rolex) and buying the seller is definitely something I go by. I think the buyer is being honest with me and genuinely believes this is the real deal, but he doesn't deal with rolexes on a regular basis so I wanted to get a second opinion or two from some of the experts. I will have protection through payment and a 3 day no questions asked return as well.

I think my biggest hang up was that this particular year and dial seem to be somewhat transitional so a lot of the comparisons I was looking at were slightly different. The more I look for dials and watches from the same age group the more confident I am about it.
