Perry and Ian at BB are good people

Did they tell you the story...

I got on the list before there was a list... The AD had not heard of the DSSD, I was describing it, telling about the adjustable band and the 12,800 ft depth rating (that drew a raised eyebrow from one of the girls that works there) so they called in and the home office said the model doesn't exist, so I told Perry and Ian I had a photo, they said fax it to us and I did...

So they faxed it to the home office (this was a few days before Basel) and the story is that Perry and Ian were told you are not supposed to know about this or have the photo until Basel....

So out of 5 DSSDs for BB and one only for the west coast, I got mine

AND where do you think I got the info???

Right here from TRF

Yup, I heard the story a few days after you brought the pic in. That's when I told them I wanted one, but they said I was #2 in line. I didn't know it was you until I talked to Ian and Perry the other night, then I put it all together.
A ginormous big congrats to you for getting the first one! It couldn't have played out any better and I'm glad it went to one of our very own TRF Brethren.

Although you are a Siciliano, your last name is pure Greek...so I do have
a special affection for my buddies at TRF of Greek ancestry...I wonder if
HKperf is also of Greek ancestry...
