My first precious metal watch

After many months of white vs rose I finally made my decision.

Love the clean dial!

I surprised myself. Was almost ready to pull the trigger on a Saxonia thin when the lack of a sweeping seconds hand made me stop. It was between this and a JLC Master and this won!

Congrats. Seems to be a million miles away from what you had been considering (at least in more recent posts).

What was the deciding factor and what watches were in the mix at the very end? (Always interesting to understand why someone bought something and what drove the decision. Sometimes with watches there is not reason to these purchases but other times they are very well thought out!)

Your spot on there. Never thought of IWC when considering a dress watch

These were the options

The ALS and VC were eliminated due to the lugs (over hang on wrist) the IWC was there when I went to check out the JLC and was surprised at how clean it was. Rolex was just too sporty for me.

Calatrava,JLC and IWC were the finalists

Then it was heart over head. The JLC and Calatrava didn't look as special so it has to be the IWC. The price meant that I can add another 10k plus to something else so that was also a factor when making the final call.

The IWC does actually look best on your wrist. And I hear you, you cannot eliminate a price differential like that from the decision process.

Anyway, well wear.
