Rolex Day Date Real or Fake?

Hello, I am trying to purchase this watch from craiglist and this guy is selling a Rolex day date presidential 2. These were the two best pictures on the posting and he said he did not open the insurance card or any of the booklets. He stated he bought this from a kays jewelers in the outlets. I am going to look at the watch today and opening up the insurance card and the card. Anyway of verifying the the authenticity?

What Rolex do YOU want? If you want a PM DD with Diamonds then you need to save quite a bit more. If you just want a Rolex to say you own a Rolex than the model numbers above would fit your current budget. And don't forget, if it sounds to good to be true, 99.9999% of the time it will be.

Well since the Day/Date, better known as the "President" is ONLY made in precious metal (gold or platinum) you wont find it for 2500$

That one is a poor fake

If that were in fact a real day/date in either platinum or 18K white gold, you would be paying $30,000+ for it. Most likely you wouldnt find one on Craigslist of all places. That is the last place I would look for a Rolex. You are only asking for trouble there. The one you are looking at is worth $1 on a good day. It is garbage.
In your price range you need to look for a Rolex model, 6694, 6426, 1601 or 1500. That will be about it in your price range unless you want some late 1950s beater that needs a lot of work. Buy from a reputable seller and buy the seller, not the watch.

When someone is selling a watch for thousands of dollars and they provide crappy pics like this then they are hiding something period. Also they are asking way under retail or used prices so another clue it's fake as a 9 dollar bill. Run a mile. Save until you have about 5k then you have enough for a 5 digit model in decent condition. Day date will cost tens of thousands pre owned.
