New to me 5513
I was given this 5513 Maxi Mk1 as a gift. It came from a reputable watch dealer so I know it is in tip top shape now. What do I need to know as far as care for this classic? I have owned newer watches but this is my first 40 year old watch.

How does one get on this gift list? Awesome! Wear it. Others more informed than I can give you better advice but what are you referring to as far as "care" goes? If it has had a recent service and pressure test I should think you're good to go.

Looks great! Congratulations! If it has been pressure tested and serviced, care for it as any other watch.

If you don't have a service history, I'd see how well it keeps time and have it pressure tested. You could opt for a service if it's not running well Send it to a vintage expert if it needs service. |

I need to know the right people for gifts like this. Very sharp op, enjoy and give it a good service from a good watchmaker and wear the hell out of it.

Congratulations on being gifted a beautiful Rolex by a generous friend. TRF has plethora of information from so very many experts who know Rolex backwards and forwards. Reading will give you excellent info about caring for your watch. Use the "search" for specific topics. Please consider contacting Vanessa CW21, NewPort Beach CA Watchmaker. and a knowledge regular member on TRF. She is fantastic. http://www.rolexforums.com/member.php?u=5731 Wear your treasure in good health. |
