Serial number vs. chronometer certificate number
I just bought a Tag and the serial number (engraved on case back and on warranty card) does not match the number on the chronometer certificate (referred to on the chronometer certificate as the watch number) is this normal?

The COSC certificate applies to the bare movement, which typically has it’s own separate serial number.
The warranty applies to the complete watch, including the strap/bracelet – so the only number that matters is the one that’s visible on the case back. As long as that matches the warranty documentation, then you’re golden. |
