Rolex Gold Sub Evaluation

I'm looking at this watch, gold sub, N serial number, 1990's vintage, no box or papers, recently serviced & polished, priced at 12,500. Looks like a good price.
It would be an online PayPal purchase, can't physically inspect the watch, too far away. Would appreciate your opinions on this watch, experts please chime in.
Thanks

Little bit over polished for my liking (the near non existent crown on the clap kills it for me) but the price is fair at 12.5. If you could live with it go for it.

For some reason that's the very first thing I notice on a used Rolex

It's definitely seen some polishing and has service hands. Price isn't horrible though.

Joe, I've seen different grades of patina on markers and hands on original sets, so I'd not be so sure about service hands on this one. But it's possible of course.

You must replace the SS springbars with proper original YG springbars. It looks "dirty" with the SS springbars.

Price doesn't seem out of line for what it is, but it's been polished too hard for my liking.

That whole 5 o'clock lug seems to have been the result of someone getting a little to exuberant on the polishing wheel. Price is fine, I might hold out.
